A little fyi of an upcoming event from Pinups For Pitbulls that I will most likely be attending:
Pinups for Pitbulls Charity Calendar Release Party
If you missed my first linking to the site, here is a little background from theirs:
Pinups for Pitbulls, a not for profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the pit bull breed, announces the launch of the 2009 Pinups for Pitbulls calendar. Pinups for Pitbulls’ goal is to educate the public about the breed using pro-pit bull testimonies of 12 strong, pit bull-owning women. The ultimate mission is to save the lives of abused and abandoned pit bulls, since pit bulls and pit bull mixes account for the majority of dogs in shelters across the United States
So, if you are not down with BSL (Breed Specific Legislation), you should consider attending. Besides, they have PBR on tap at the Raven Lounge.

His nickname was “Little Mikey,” but I don’t ever recall their being a “Big” one (I guess no one noticed I was fat until later). Mike Brosnan is not a name people are used to seeing in headlines or magazines, but he has a lot to do with the city’s reputation as a hotspot for underground music. Around 2:30 in the morning on Saturday night, he was struck by a Chevy Impala at 48th and Springfield. Less than an hour later, he was pronounced dead at UPenn hospital.
Wow, I remember him from years and years ago, I’ll have to see if I have any old pics from the DisSucks/Rizzo/Stuntmen shows. I hope they lock away the driver forever…
